Salsa verde for enchiladas verdes is made with tomatillos (Mexican husk tomatos) which are the small fruits of a plant from the nightshade family. Salsa Roja; however, is prepared with tomatoes. 

This package includes:
30 pack White Corn Tortillas (14 cm) @MXflavour 
1 can Salsa Verde Enchiladas – Green @MXFlavour
1 can Bayo Refried Beans @MXflavour


  • 1 can of Salsa Verde para Enchiladas @MXFlavour
  • 2–6 long red chilies *
  • 12 Whole Corn Tortillas @MXFlavour
  • 2 cups shredded roast chicken
  • ½ cup thickened cream
  • 70 grams fetta cheese
  • ½ red onion, thinly sliced


    1. Use a blender to blend the Salsa Verde with as many chilies as you want, depending on the level of heat desired. (Chilies are not required if you want a mild flavour)
    2. Pour into a pot and heat until boiling. Lower to a gentle simmer 
    3. Heat a dry non-stick skillet over high heat
    4. Taking one tortilla at a time, heat on the skillet for about 30 seconds per side until they are nice and flexible. As you go, place each heated tortilla into a pile (piling them will help maintain heat and flexibility). Place them on top of a tea towel and cover them with another so they don’t lose heat
    5. Pour ½ cup of the prepared slasa in the bottom of a shallow, rectangular dish. Place 2 tablespoons of shredded roast chicken in a strip on a tortilla and roll the tortilla into a tube. Arrange the filled, rolled tortillas side-by-side into the dish
    6. Once all done, evenly pour the rest of the prepared salsa on top. Drizzle with cream and sprinkle with fetta cheese and the raw sliced red onion
    Serve immediately with warmed Bayo Refried Beans @MXFlavour
